Abstract
Social media has provided enormous space for every individual to collaborate effectively. The field of computing in business, commerce, economics, and finances have got much acceleration with the invention of “World Wide Web – www”. Data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced computing techniques became the catalyst to expand the business and provided a venue to do electronic commerce to reach and interact with customers. There is a need to improve and enhance the sales performance for e-commerce. The data science and machine learning approach with handling big data with the transparency of data records using computing techniques to enhance e-commerce is one of the demanding area of research these days. This paper discusses the data science and machine learning approaches to improve e-commerce sales performance on the social web. The concept of “Social Web”, “Internet of Things (IoT)”, “Internet of Everything (IoE)”, and concept of “Anywhere on Earth (AoE)” is elaborated where the handling of big data with machine learning algorithms and methods to improve sales is discussed.
