Abstract
This article describes the methods for the synthesis of carbethoxyhydrazine from diethyl carbonate and hydrazine hydrate and carbethoxyhydrazone of acetophenone from carbethoxyhydrazine and acetophenone when heated in methanol in the presence of catalytic amounts of glacial acetic acid.
