Fecal microbiota transplantation as a treatment method for pseudomembranous colitis

The presented article demonstrates such a method of treating pseudomembranous colitis as fecal microbiota transplantation (based on the transplantation of fecal biomass from a healthy donor to a sick recipient). The pros and cons of this method, its pathophysiological action and various options for carrying out this manipulation are shown. The topic of fecal microbiota transplantation is very relevant, since this method of treatment is quite new and is only gaining popularity. The uniqueness of the article lies in the fact that the treatment of pseudomembranous colitis by this method has not been fully studied and analyzed.
