Abstract
In the present work, a review of the state-of-the-art techniques used for drawing angular segments in the construction of cylindrical pipe elbows were made and a new specially developed procedure is presented to technify the drawing process in terms of simplicity and speed of calculation. Analytical methods based on trigonometry were used and constants were established that were tabulated to speed up the process of drawing a fundamental angular segment in industrial workshop jobs. Experiences in the teaching of manufacturing processes in engineering demonstrate the speed of learning by students and the effectiveness of the application of the procedure in engineering classroom projects and manufacturing processes in the metalworking sector.
