Abstract
The research sought to understand the influence of social cultural factors on the implementation of women community projects in Kitui West. The specific objectives of the study were to establish the influence of education level, community beliefs, work-family balance and poverty level on implementation of women table banking projects in Kitui West. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design with a target population comprising of 35 women community table-banking projects in Kitui West from where a sample size of 75 participants was derived. The primary data was collected and analyzed with the help of SPSS while qualitative analysis was conducted using thematic analysis. From the findings of the study, level of education and work-family balance were found to have a positive and significant linear influence on implementation of women community projects. Where else, community beliefs and poverty levels negatively and significantly influenced the implementation of women community projects. The study indicated that jointly, level of education, community beliefs, work-family balance and poverty levels influence the implementation of women community projects in Kitui west. Government policy was found to have a moderating effect on the relationship between social cultural factors and implementation of women community projects.
