Abstract
This study explains the process of an electroless coating of low carbon steel with the Taguchi process for optimizing the process parameters (using three kinds of electroless (Ni-Cu/Nano TiO2), (Ni-P), and (Ni-Cu-P). The current research takes into account corrosion resistance as an optimization criterion. Bath temperature and coating times are essenti al considerations that affect these parameters of optimization. The results from the test show that the bath temperature is the most important element to affect corrosion efficiency through the electroless coating. The optimal corrosion o resistance for electroless coating conditions is plating time (90 min.) and bath temperature (80 C).
