Abstract
This study aims to demonstrate a model of seamless transition for the child from home to preschool and from preschool to schools, for children from marginalized communities in the State of Bihar. The study was carried out in two ICDS blocks, Kalyanpur and Khanpur of Samastipur district. The sample includes 70 AWCs, 350 children studying at AWC, 63 Focus group discussions with caregivers. The paper presents the main findings of the status of children 3 - 6 years as well as the quality of services accessible to them and also perceptions of the caregivers.
