Abstract
Unsustainable entrepreneurship, consumption and productions patterns have contributed greatly to environmental degradation. In pursuit of sustainable development entrepreneurs need to embrace business practices that not only generate income but also do not harm the environment. Many times men and masculinity are the representation of any type of entrepreneurship. This paper sought to investigate the likelihood of women participating in entrepreneurial activities that generate income and at the same time conserve the environment. This paper was crafted through a careful literature review of journal articles. The findings reveal that women do participate in environmental concern mainly due to the fact that they worry about the effects on their families.
