Abstract
Population ageing is assumed to have a wide impact on economic growth yet there is little study on the socio-economic impact of ageing. This paper focuses on socio-economic conditions of ageing population with special reference to Udaipur district of Rajasthan. The primary data for the research was collected using Purposive random sampling method with a sample size of 120 aged people was taken for the year 2019 in which the data collection was bifurcated equally between rural and urban area. The study (using Mc Nemar’s test) found that there is a significant reduction in the level of income of people after retirement.
