Abstract
Novel derivatives of 1, 3-dioxoisoindolin were synthesized by the reaction between imine derivatives and Pthalic anhydride. Oxazepines are an important class of biologically active compounds and their synthesis has been receiving much attention in the field of medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry. Compound 7b, 7f and 7h has shown activity similar or more to pencillin G, a well known antibiotic drug.
