Abstract
The nation-wide lockdown due to COVID-19 created the situation of closed population. This paper presents a general theory for estimating the size of a closed population. The theory is based on a log-linear model, with model parameters representing the natural logarithm of subpopulation size and the natural logarithm of subpopulation capture probabilities. Lastly the paper contains illustration of use of log-linear to closed population.
