Abstract
To educate a woman is to educate a nation, they say. It is common knowledge that every child's education is of paramount importance to their future. Often within African nations, gender segregation is very strong in terms of education. Boys are more advantaged than girls. Through this study, we want to go through schools in rural areas, on the one hand, to discover and bring out the idea of the relationship that there would be between the rate of female learners admitted to 7th year and that of those reached the end of the cycle of the humanities, and on the other hand, discover the underlying causes of this situation and make suggestions. Study conducted in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in the province of Haut Katanga.
