Abstract
In this experiment, the amount of chlorophyll in the leaves of Ishonch and Tashkent-6 varieties of cotton was studied under optimal and low water conditions. Compared to optimal conditions, the amount of chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll and carotenoids of both varieties decreased to different degrees in conditions of water shortage. The chlorophyll stability index in the trust variety was 85.9 %, and in the Tashkent-6 variety it was 83.8 %.
