Abstract
Manuscript submitted is in a narrative form that may fit-in as Editorial or short communication however, 1st paragraph is submitted here to have continuity of moving on this submission. Medical education is facing unprecedented challenges due to COVID-19 pandemic. Mitigating the effect of this challenge while relying on pedagogical strategies more than the application of technology may be a way forward in minimising the emerging uncertainty of current times. Imperative to exploring solutions to the current challenges is the dire need of innovation both in teaching and learning strategies. However, to ensure all innovative ideas serve the sole purpose of alleviating the problems posed by the current pandemic. Any proposed variations in teaching and learning should based on educational principles and standards, and good practice while meeting the institutional resources. This will also help warrant the generation of ideas that do not pose problems for the institutions to follow in the future and can be implemented smoothly. In devising the solution to the current challenges, the most important consideration should be student’s safety and well-being in patient centred care [1]. Currently, medical students report feelings of uncertainty and anxiety around the time of their graduation [2] and have voiced concerns of financial liabilities besides, personal safety from exposure and continuity of curriculum delivery and learning experience.
