Abstract
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is defined as illness caused by a novel coronavirus now called severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus. When the immune system response is low, weak, or damaged, it becomes an open invitation for infections such as coronavirus or other diseases. Adequate amounts of mineral and vitamins provided by a healthy diet helps to ensure sufficient numbers of immune cells and antibodies, which are important as the body mounts a response to infections.
