Abstract
For some people, population migration is a strategy to improve the welfare of individuals and society. The presence of a driving factor in the area of origin and attraction factor in the destination area underlies a person to migrate, both permanently and non-permanently. The ties between migrants and the origin area are manifested in the form of visits and remittances to the area of origin. The size of remittances sent by migrant workers to the area of origin depends on the level of income generated. The higher the income obtained, the greater the remittance that will be sent to the area of origin. This study was conducted in the city of Denpasar with the method of determining the sample, namely quota sampling. The sample migrants are non-permanent migrants in Denpasar City. The number of samples is 99 respondents. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis in the form of path analysis and Sobel test. The results of this study indicate that education, work experience and working hours have a positive and significant effect on income. Education, work experience and working hours have a positive and significant effect on remittances of non-permanent migrant workers. In addition, income is a mediating variable in the influence of education, work experience and working hours on remittances of non-permanent migrant workers
