Abstract
:. Baul is an important type of folk culture. If culture is the flower full branch of the civilization tree then Folkculture is the root. In fact it is the philosophy of common people. The Baul (Bengali:) are a group of mystic minstrels from Bengal which includes Indian State of West Bengal and the country of Bangladesh. It constitutes both a syncretic religious sect and a musical tradition. Bauls are a very heterogeneous group, with many sects, but their membership mainly consists of Vaishnava Hindus and Sufi Muslims. There has an important role of the geo-environmental factors over the Baul. The present paper has analysed the relationship of geo-environmental factors and Baul culture. Lalon, also known as Lalon Fakir or Mahatma Lalon (c.1772 17 October 1890; Bengali: 1 Kartik, 1179), was a Bengali Baul saint, mystic, songwriter, social reformer and thinker. We may take Sadhok Lalon Fakir as the base of this folkculture or folk religion. So this paper has taken the philosophy of Fakir Lalon as special reference.
