The Relationship between Investment in Telecommunications Sector and Indicators of Economic Growth in Iraq

The ICT sector is one of the sectors that are closely linked to the knowledge economy. The importance of investment in this sector is of the importance of the multiplicity of its productive, distribution and consumer channels. It is an important source of economic growth. We tried to highlight the reality of the telecommunications sector in Iraq, and its contribution to indicators of economic growth. The research has led to a number of recommendations, namely the need to focus on the human element in establishing a knowledge society and work on constantly developing its skills, developing the infrastructure of the ICT sector and working on producing an integrated information system linking this sector with indicators of economic growth.
