Abstract
Twitter is one of the popular social networking sites which allow the users to express their opinion on various topics like politics, sports, stock market, entertainment etc. It is one of the fastest means of conveying information. It highly influences peoples perspective. So it is necessary that tweets are sent by genuine users and not by twitter bots. A twitter bot sends spam messages. Therefore detecting of bots helps to identify spam messages. This paper proposes an approach to detect the twitter bots using machine learning algorithms. We compare Decision tree, Multinomial Nave Bayes, Random Forest and Bag of Words.
