Abstract
Guillain-Barr syndrome (GBS) is a collection of clinical syndromes that manifests as an acute inflammatory polyradiculoneuropathy with resultant weakness and diminished reflexes. It is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system starts to destroy the myelin sheath that surrounds the axons of many peripheral nerves, or even the axons themselves. We report a unique case of GBS complicating pregnancy in the post-partum period. The patient recovered well with supportive measures and pulse steroid therapy.
