Abstract
The Indian aviation industry has often been seen as one which has the potential to be one of the largest in the world in the coming years. However, it has been an irony that in spite of growing at a rapid rate in the last decade it remains a loss-making industry. In this paper we try to find the reasons for this anomaly and mounting losses in a growing industry.
