Abstract
The simplest way for chemicals to enter the body is through direct contact with the skin. The absorption of a chemical and its properties through intact skin influences the health of the skin. Maybe the upmost identified methyl isocyanate (MIC) which usual worldwide perceive when an industrial mishap in Bhopal, India, in December 1984, released huge tons of the gas to the surrounding community. More than people died and affected, MIC release to soils will rapidly dissolve into the atmosphere, where it is rapidly broken down. It liberate to water bodies will act in response speedily through the water and change to harmless gas. MIC may be mixed up in the formation of earth level ozone, which can injure health of the skin. MIC is possibly capable of source numerous toxickinetics health effects on skin. The MIC is absorbed by the skin no other data on skin were obtained. The LD50-values in experimental animals are appreciably lower by the oral than by the dermal way. The knowledge and health hazard valuation are limited to an evaluation of the potential health effects of skin exposure to MIC. Information was considered from studies of humans, animals, or suitable modeling methods that are relevant to assessing the effects of skin exposure to MIC. In this review we are discussing the toxicokinetics of systemic toxicity, direct effects and immune mediated responses to MIC on Skin.
