Abstract
The seeds of Vigna radiata were treated with various concentrations of heavy metal solutions of cadmium chloride and lead acetate. Germination studies were conducted and observations were recorded. These entities were then subjected to remediation using Allium sativum, Eichhornia crassipes and Piper betle. A comparitive analysis was done between the heavy metals and phytoremediated entities. It was evident that the phytoremediation processes were effective in reducing the metal toxicity. With the reduction of toxic effect of heavy metals root and shoot growth of Vigna radiata was found to be enhanced.
