Abstract
The ultimate goal for any need for delimitation between two states is to achieve a fair result. However, before getting there or to better achieve it a number of issues need to be resolved. In the case of Ghana / Cte d'Ivoire, the Special Chamber had to ascertain whether a tacit agreement had duly existed and whether it was based on the proper foundation of international maritime delimitation law, the tangible proof of an express will expressed by the two states.
