Abstract
New oral anticoagulants (NOAC; rivaroxaban, dabigatran, apixaban) have become available as an alternative to warfarin anticoagulation in peripheral venous thromboembolism. We assessed the effectiveness and safety along with side effects of rivaroxaban vs warfarin in patients experiencing venous thromboembolism (both deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism)
