Abstract
This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the effectiveness of the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to improve the critical thinking skills of high school students in Economics. This study involved 140 high school students at 4 high schools in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Data is processed using descriptive analysis techniques and multiple linear regression techniques. The results showed that the design of the problem-based learning model had succeeded in helping students improve critical thinking skills as evidenced by the increase in the mean value from 1.92 to 4.26 and the value of t arithmetic 18.157 with a probability value of 0.000
