Abstract
Viscosity (), density (), and ultrasonic velocity (V) in binary mixtures of savlon with acetone were measured at 30C, 35C, 40C and atmospheric pressure by using a single-crystal interferometer at a frequency of 2 MHz. These parameters and concentrations were used to calculate adiabatic compressibility (s), intermolecular free length (Lf), specific acoustic impedance (Z), apparent molar compressibility (k), solvation number (Sn) and relative association (RA). The observed variation in these parameters with respect to the concentration highlights ion-solvent and ion-ion interactions were present, ion-solvent interactions were much depend the concentration of savlon in acetone.
