Abstract
The proposed Case-Study is to identify the scope of energy conservation and cost saving through optimization of bed material in a CFBC Boiler during plant start up. The study was undertaken at Abhijeet MADC Nagpur Energy Pvt. Ltd (AMNEPL), a 4X61.5 MW power plant at MIHAN, Khairy Khurd, Hingna, Nagpur. The scope of the study covers the savings achieved during light up of 4X250 TPH boiler and the effect of the application of the proposed method on the energy conservation possibilities and efficiency of boiler operation. The proposed method is an alternative to the conventional boiler light up of a CFBC boiler.
