Abstract
Aim To assess the correlation between consequences of dental caries in children reporting to a tertiary dental health care centre and the sociodemographic variables. Materials and methods 70 children between 6-11 years of age in the mixed dentition stage who had untreated dental caries on examination participated in the study. The dental caries status was assessed using deft and DMFT indices in primary and permanent dentition. The consequences of untreated dental caries was assessed by pufa/PUFA index.
