Abstract
The article describes a rather sensitive issue. Indonesia and Malaysia are two neighboring country experienced long colonization periods. Western countries colonized both countries for around 300 years and by Japan for around 3.5 years. Both countries had loss and wounds during the two colonization periods. Both countries also have historical backgrounds as parted kingdoms influenced by culture of Hindu, China and Islam. Both countries also used basic Malay language. Indonesia proclaimed the independence in 1945 while Malaysia in 1957. However, both countries experienced disharmony on their international relation in post-colonial era.
