Abstract
This review article deals with the Carbon nano materials derived from natural precursors using chemical vapour deposition (CVD) method and its various modified forms like pyrolysis, spray pyrolysis as well as traditional method of deposition of carbon nano materials. The range of natural precursors used including leaves, stem, oils, seeds, dried sap etc. have been discussed in relation to the type of nano material obtained. The major parameters affecting the synthesis process, namely, temperature, catalyst, carrier gas have been discussed. A correlation between applications of the carbon nano materials in relation to their structure and size have also been explored.
