Abstract
An experimental design has been drawn up to optimize the experimental conditions of the synthesis of new Triphenylphosphonium-substituted phthalocyanine from tetrabrominated phthalocyanine. Response surface methodology (RSM) was applied to study the influence of molar ratio of tetrabrominated phthalocyanine to triphenylphosphine, reaction time and the reaction temperature. Quadratic model was developed for yield of Triphenylphosphonium-substituted phthalocyanine using Design-Expert software NEMRODW. The model was used to calculate the optimum operating conditions for synthesis of Triphenylphosphonium-substituted phthalocyanine. The optimum conditions were obtained as follows n (tetrabrominated phthalocyanine TTBPc) n (triphenylphosphinePPh3) = 120, reaction time 12 h and reaction temperature 120C. Under these conditions, the yield of Triphenylphosphonium-substituted phthalocyanine reached 70 %.
