The Utilization of Maternal Health Care Services at Kilifi County Referral Hospital in Kenya

The main purpose of the study was to establish the level of utilization of the maternal health care services at Kilifi County Referral Hospital, Kilifi County, Kenya. The study was necessitated by the fact that Kilifi County is one of the leading counties with high maternal mortality cases. This was a descriptive cross sectional study conducted in Kilifi County Referral Hospital. The sample size was determined statistically for population greater than 10, 000. The data was collected through the administration of questionnaire to 384 respondents. The validity and reliability of the instruments was done through content analysis and half split test to determine whether it was going to address all aspects of variables. The results were analysed using a statistical package for social science (SPSS 20)
