Abstract
Fibrosing mediastinitis is a rare condition defined by the presence of fibrotic mediastinal infiltrates that obliterate normal fat planes. It is a significant source of morbidity and mortality, and functional limitations that are frequently responsible for work disability. This case report presents a young woman with severe fibrosing mediastinitis in palliative treatment, with a successful professional reintegration.
