Abstract
Ischemic heart disease or coronary artery disease has been one of the most famous conditions discussed and researched about throughout the human history. William Harvey (15781657) physician to King Charles I is credited with discovering that the blood moves from the right ventricle of the heart through the lung and into the aorta, then the peripheral vessels, and back into the lung. The heart is like any other muscle in body. It needs an adequate blood supply to provide oxygen so that the muscle can contract and pump blood to the rest of the body. Not only does the heart pump blood to the rest of the body, it also pumps blood to itself via the coronary arteries. These arteries originate from the base of the aorta. Moreover, techniques that depend on the principle of intelligent systems and artificial neural networks are proven to be very efficient in the field of research
