Abstract

This article focused on cutting and its implications for journalism in the DRC, with the aim of raising the profile of cutting, a phenomenon that is increasingly tarnishing the image of journalism. The purpose of this article has been to circumscribe the field of study here in Likasi and to give the origin of this evil that spreads terror in the world of journalism. We have shown that if this phenomenon succeeds in gaining ground, it is because journalists practice their profession in difficult conditions, the latter being of a political, social and structural nature. The salary treatments to which feather and micro professionals are subject leaves much to be desired and does not allow them to work properly, that is, to process the information objectively and impartially, instead of collecting the information on the ground, they are engaged in the money collection. From where they lose their credibility and especially their legitimacy.
