METHOD An open labeled randomised control trial carried out on patients with chronic sur-gical wounds following eligibility, diabetic ulcers, venous ulcers, pressure ulcers etc. Consecutive type of non-probability sampling was used for the selection of study subjects during study duration. All the subjects fulfilling the eligibility criteria were taken for study after informed consent. A total of 120 patients of chronic wounds were divided into 2 study groups as per com-puter generated random numbers. RESULT NPWT had better results over conventional dressing.
