Abstract
This paper describes the pilot application of a Dyslexia Test, developed as a comprehensive assessment tool. The test assesses learning difficulties which reflect the main symptoms of SDD in children between 7-12 years. The results showed that [1] the task difficulty index ranged between 76 % and 7 %, [2] Cronbachs index of the tasks was =653 and [3] all the sub-tests were found to be strong indicators of the SDD profile. In conclusion, the pilot application of the proposed Dyslexia Test diagnostic tool demonstrated a high degree of reliability and validity, rendering the standardization of the test as indispensable for completing this research.
