Abstract
RARE CASES CHARCOTS DISEASES OF FOOT-SHORTTERM FOLLOW UP 2015 2016 (2YEARS) Dr. MATHUN RAM Ortho P. G Dr SUNDARARAJA MSORTHO SRI RAMACHANDRA MEDICAL COLLEGE& RES. INSTITUTE, CHENNAI. AIM: To know the best method for treating charcots diseases of foot. METHODS& METHODOLOGY: All patients with charcots foot were taken for the study from 2015 till 2016 (2years) 9cases.7 underwent conservative treatment with good fitting pop cast. Causes were identified, one underwent fusion with implant, one with fusion& BG. RESULTS: ALL TREATED CONSERVATIVELY GAVE BEST RESULT 77 % (PATIENTS) EXCELLENT FUSION WITH IMPLANTS 11.5 % (1 PATIENT) BAD FUSION WITH BG 11.5 % (1PATIENT) POOR DISCUSSIONS: Patient treated conservatively gave good result than fusion with BG/implant.
