Abstract

Mobile streaming equipped with the use of mobile devices nowadays is widespread and multimedia provides the best way to learn, understand new concepts and technologies in the time of their inception. This paper presents a novel edge to provide Qos approach and distributed processing using cloud. Here the main aim is to provide device specific video quality, a streaming quality improvement and also providing the complete playback services. This could be achieved possibly by the cloud assisted streaming services like transcoding and distributed streaming services. Bandwidth, resolution and energy consumption being the basic requirements to deal with different aspects of multimedia which are spatial, temporal and quality dimensions. One of the future research directions is to study how cloud provides the storage infrastructure and content management for multimedia contents(video data) and verify the data rate as per the different fluctuating bandwidth conditions under different data loads in network. This research outlines the state of art and major challenges in protocols, architectures and in streaming which contributes to good scalability with minor delay and soaring playback inconsistencies and variations. Further, research is taken to a precise understanding using the DASRC algorithm considers the data download rate, as well as the energy for decoding is calculated before the transmission of video data. DASRC algorithm also evaluates the available bandwidth, picture quality, and energy consumption for the user end terminal device. The proposed prototype feasibility is validated with architecture to yield high performance for network, hardware and power aware QoS approach
