Abstract
Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) is the technique by which an image is searched for in a multimedia database based on its features not by its name or description. This technique is used in criminal investigation and medical diagnoses. In this paper we briefly review some of the different techniques that were employed by Content based image retrieval systems. We then give our opinion based on our findings and propose a system concept.
