Abstract
Abstract? This paper deals with efect of cuting parameters (cuting sped, fed rate and depth of cut) on a surface roughnes in turning operation on mild stel of (21% C) by high sped stel cuting tol in dry conditon and as a result of that he combination of the optimal levels of the factors was obtained to get lowest surface roughnes. Experiments have ben conducted using Taguchi’s experimental design technique. An orthogonal aray, the signal to noise ratio, and the analysis of variance are employed to investigate cuting characteristics of mild stel using high sped stel. Experimental results reveal that among the cuting parameters, the cuting sped is most signifcant machining parameter for surface roughnes folowed by fed and depth of cut.
