Abstract
Introduction. Despite the achievements of the pathophysiology, patoanatomii, biochemistry, cyto- and histology uveal cataract development mechanism is notfully understood. Uveal cataracts cataractogenesis characterized on the one hand changes necrotic epithelial cells and the activation of cellular metabolism of the capsule itself, and on the other hand the change of the capsular collagen production. Both mechanisms affect the integrity of the lens capsule and the suction function of the lens epithelium, resulting in causing clouding of the lens. Purpose. Investigate the ultrastructure of the epithelium and the anterior lens capsule during cataract complicated with chronic uveitis in children and to study its changes. Material and Methods. Electron microscopy investigated four sites pupillary membrane and the anterior capsule of the lens removed from the children's eyes with uveal cataract of various etiologies. Two of the children was the etiology of rheumatoid uveitis, two others ? viral. Results. In all tested samples showed pronounced tissue degeneration and disintegration of the epithelium and the anterior lens capsule. Conclusion. Based on the study can be assumed that on the background of chronic uveitis expressed on the one hand dystrophic and necrotic changes of the epithelial cells by activation of metabolism of cells of the capsule, and on the other hand, the changes of products kapsulnogo collagen. Both mechanisms violate the integrity Key woirk: cataract anteri0r capsuie of the lens capsule suction function of the epithelium of the lens, resulting in calls 0f the lens corticosteroids chronic cataract, but these assumptions require longer and deeper study involving a large uveitis, children, experimental study. number of investigated with different types of uveitis.
