Abstract
This review aims to discuss various methods for the management of mandibular fractures in completely edentulous patients. In severely atrophic mandible, even very minor trauma can cause fracture. Additionally, pathologic fracture during mastication can occur. The reduction and fixation techniques for treatment of fractures of the edentulous mandible are based on the fundamental principles of adequate bone fragment apposition and immobilization.
