Abstract

Introduction. The urgency of work is determined by finding out of action of prepa?rations ?Artificial tear? and Restasis in treatment of eye burns. Purpose. To investigate a condition of processes of peroxide oxidation of lipids on the level of malonic dialdehyde and diene conjugates of the lacrimal fluid in patients with eye burns. Material and methods. Clinical studies were made in patients with eye burns. The studies were made in 12 healthy persons for the control. During treatment 2 groups of patients were studied: a group of comparison (10 patients) ? patients with se?vere consequences of burns, with application of standard complex treatment, the basic group (14patients) ? patients with severe consequences of eye burns, who has been included preparations of ?Artificial tear? and Restasis in a complex ther?apy. The contents of malonic dialdehyde and diene conjugates were determined in the patients' lacrimal fluid of patients. Results. In application of preparations ?Artificial tear? and Restasis the concen?tration of malonic dialdehyde and diene conjugates has decreased by 20.1 % and 14.7 % accordingly. Conclusion. Inclusion of preparations of ?Artificial tear? and Restasis in the com?plex of medicamentous therapy promotes more expressed normalization of the level of products of peroxide oxidation of lipids in the lacrimal fluid.
