Non-alcoholic liver disease (NAFLD) is a common liver disorder which is closely associated with insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes mellitus and it is characterised by fat accumulation in liver. The prevalance in diabetes population is found to be 20-40 %. Studies have shown that NAFLD is strongly associated with several metabolic disorders and disease such as obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia. This review article aim to check the association of co-morbidities in non-alcoholic fatty liver among type 2 diabetes mellitus. NAFLD deserves particular attention given that NAFLD could be a risk factor for the development of metabolic syndrome, CVD, and CKD.
