Abstract
Arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is an abnormal connection between arteries and veins, bypassing the capillary system (1). They frequently involve the head, neck, and oral cavity. Subdivided into vascular tumors (hemangiomas) and vascular malformations, vascular anomalies remain poorly understood (2). They are generally asymptomatic but sometimes cause pain, bleeding and other complications.
