Abstract
Nowadays, peasant parties do not enjoy much popularity in Poland. Polish Peoples Party owns 7 % of public support. Similarly, at the moment of the formation of the peoples movement, the peasants who remained in conflict with the landowners were not involved in politics, they focused mainly on their work. Over the years, however, this group has become increasingly aware of its rights and its social position, which has been reflected in setting up new political parties and playing an increasingly important role in, striving to independence, Poland.
