Abstract
The main aim of the present paper is to study the plasma produced by DBD plasma actuator through follow the time evolution of the electric potential, electron density, and ions density. Airlike mixture consists of nitrogen and oxygen gases were used as a discharge gas. An AC voltage applied to the actuator to drive the plasma. Simulations have been performed to understand the plasma produced. A fluid model was used as a simulation model. A two dimensional simulation of the actuator geometry used and finite element method solved in COMSOL multi physics software were done. The duration of the simulated discharge is in the range of nanoseconds. The resultant parameters from the actuator are seen as a function of the applied voltage amplitude.
