Abstract
Steganography is an art of hiding one type of information into other information. Steganography exploits the use of a host data to hide a piece of information in such a way that it is imperceptible to a human observer. Wavelet transforms that map integers to integers allow perfect reconstruction of the original image. Hence, we proposed an algorithm that embeds the message bit stream into the LSB's of the discrete wavelet coefficients of a true-color image. The algorithm also applies a preprocessing step on the cover image to adjust saturated pixel components in order to recover the embedded message without lose. It is observed that the capacity and security is increased with acceptable PSNR in the proposed algorithm compared to the existing algorithms. Experimental results showed the high invisibility of the proposed model even with large message size.
